I'm a freshman in college, studying to become an elementary teacher. I just got a brand new Martin guitar that I'm extremely proud of. I love to read and listen to all types of music. I love my dogs, and I miss them now that I'm at college. I love to read and of course, write.

Life in HD

That's our theme for our yearbook this year. Life in Hi-Definition. All of our pages will have something to do with a clearer picture or a television show that could be in HD. So for the theme we have to figure out what we want to do for our cover and each of us needs to create an idea for the cover. We can be in groups or by ourselves for the assingment. Creating a cover for that theme is very hard, I'm in a group of three and we're having a very difficult time coming up with something. We got a picture off the internet of a girl holding a big diamond up to her eye and then to the right it says somehthing in German, I think. So I covered up the German words and put a big HD logo, and then I put 'Life In' above it. It was something to turn in I guess, otherwise I don't know what to do.

This is the picture I was talking about, very HD TV-ish wouldn't you say.

What I'm Listening To: The Wailin' Jennys Firecracker album. I love the song Swallow, number five on the cd.

Hey, Joyce.

I saw the Wailin' Jennys play their biggest home town show this past September. I was at their very first show at Sleddog Music, back in Jan. 2002, with about 25 people packed in the acoustic guitar shop. I've seen them many times and know them to be really nice people. You should also check out the cd Weathervane by Nicky Mehta and of course, 40 Days, their first cd which won them the equivalent of a US Grammy here in Canada.
