Semester Numero Two

Well, it's a new semester officially and I started my new classes today. I have psychology and child development II as my new classes. I don't know how fun their going to be. But is there such a thing as a fun class? I didn't think so. But on a much happier note, I finally found an apartment for next year. I'm going to be living with three other girls in a four bedroom two bathroom apartment. This complex is really nice, it has a swimming pool, hot tub, 24 hour workout center, 24 hour computer lab, free tanning, and a game room. Woohoo! All of that for an entire year for $309 a month, which is still about $3000 cheaper than living on campus. We've started making lists of what each of us has to bring to the apartment next year, like dishes, silverware, couches etc. It looks like we're gonna have to go to a lot of garage sales this summer, but I love garage sales so that will be fun. Also this week is Winterfest and we have spirit days that we have to dress up for everyday. Today was hat and scarf day, which was easy. Tomorrow is Black and Gold day, Wednesday is Band T-Shirt Day, Thursday is Stoplight Day, and for those of you who don't know what that is, you wear green if you're single, yellow if you're seeing someone, and red if you're taken, and then Friday is 80s day because that's our theme for our Winterfest dance on Friday. The dance is after the basketball game, I'm not really sure who we're playing though. Also I've started indoor soccer, it's been really fun so far this year. There are a lot of girls who are on the team, a lot more than last year, it also helps though that we have a new coach this year. We've won all three of our games so far, which is really good for a newer team.

What I'm Listening To: The Killers, Sam's Town. I really like the song Bones, I first heard the song on their music video on IMF. The music video is pretty cool and so is the song. I'm not a big fan of The Killers and their second album is much different from their first album Hot Fuss. It has a lot of synthesizers and an almost dance like vibe.

Stupid Me

So I decided last night to wash my khakis, I have three pair that I have for when I go to the elementary school in the morning, and they get so wrinkle-y in the washer so I have to put them in the dryer for like 5 to 10 minutes to get the wrinkles out. So I've been pretty tired and forgetful lately and of course, here it comes, I forgot to take them out of the dryer. Wow, I can't believe I did that. So that was 3 out of 4 dress pants that I shrunk to an unwearable condition. Now what the heck am I supposed to do? I wore the only pair of dress pants that I have left the day before and I am not wearing the same pair twice in a row, that's pretty skanky. So I wore jeans today. Gasp! I know, I know, I shouldn't have but I didn't have a choice. But after school today, my mom being the lifesaver (insert any other angelic, lifesaving word here), that she is decided to take me shopping for some new dress clothes. It was so much fun shopping with her, she found some really great stuff. And we also went out to eat. We went to Ruby Tuesday's, which was really good, I always get their queso dip, it's sooo good. Anyway, it looks like I won't be going to any basketball games this week they're all too far away and I don't want to drive far. I really like going to the basketball games this year, maybe it's because this is my last year, I don't know, but I want to have as much fun as possible before I go away to college and I don't see any of my friends and then I can't sit in the student section because then people will think that I don't have any friends. Oh well, there's always next week for some games.


What I'm Listening To: The Decemberists. I love this band! I can't stop listening to it, they're so different from a lot of what's out there right now and that's why I love them. The cd starts with the Crane Wife 3, which is a good song and then it goes into a twelve minute song, which is really awesome. The whole cd is awesome, the band is awesome, listen to it.
